I can easily understand why some folks would not want to have children in their lives. In fact, a number of reasons are easy to conceive. On the other hand, there are a million reasons for other folks wanting children in their lives.

I'm not here with the intention of negotiating between everyone's feelings on the subject. If you have any understanding about this site, it all falls down to a single reality - Responcibility.

Children are the future. I would like to think that is a positive. But I cannot say. Other species will have to determine that as the time arrives for such thought-processing.

Until then, it seems like we, as ex-children, should be dedicated toward creating the best life possible for the younguns of today and tomorrow. So, I have to wonder why, with so many folks running around claiming the same thing, we are not doing so? Most of it sure seems simple to me.

Let us take a quick look at this new, and wonderfully exciting, frontier known as the Internet ( I like to call it the "Live Wire"). History will certainly show that all realities grow from a beginning. The Internet is no different. Many changes over the last few years have happened. Often faster than anyone is capable of keeping up with. The funny part to all of this that I have noticed is that while this "liveWire" is unlike anything ever experienced by humans, we are still making decisions for it as we have always made decisions for anything. Look around - are you happy how things are? Presidents lie and get away with it. Other politicians make decisions that clearly violate the laws they are bound to up hold. Taxes are out of control. There are taxes that are meant to look like something else so that we don't know they are taxes.

I could go along this line for hours. So can you. The point is, though, that stupidity is in charge here. If this attitude doesn't change soon; the "Live Wire" will be no different from how life was before all this got started.

Do you really have a desire to act, or even appear, ignorant? I don't. Let me toss a few thoughts at you and see if you too can understand the simplicity of correct thought-processing. If so, then maybe we can begin to meet somewhere in a direction that is actually designed for creating a better world for those children we all claim we love.

A number of folks got together a few years ago and began discussing the need to look into the future of the "Live Wire" and attempt to get a handle on the future before it arrives. Standards for structure, design methods, and tons of other subjects were discussed; and eventually addressed with solutions.

I have always thought that the need for more domain divisions ( such as .com, .net, .org....ect) were look at with the same childishness as dividing this great country of ours was. In other words, there was no sense in any of it; except settling personal desires for reigning members of the committee. Where was this great concern for the children when all this was going on? Where was the great concern for better, more effective security?

There you, a concerned parent, sit at the computer and you are setting up this software that is suppose to help you protect your children from sites you don't believe to be appropriate. The first drawback is that this is going to be a constant job as new updates are needed and different sites find ways to get past your efforts. And then the next drawback is that really excellent sites, such as medical sites, are suddenly a part of the system your children are not allowed to visit.

I want to know why you are being forced to live and act like an ignorant individual? Where's the correctness in keeping your child from learning about medicine? Or proper hygene? Trust me, I can go on for hours listing what your child misses out on due to the software meant to protect your child. Why is that?

The deal here is that these great and wise folks who have somehow become leaders of the direction this "Live Wire" is heading have made serious errors. Maybe they made these errors intentionally. I mean, do they see a profit if kids are able to get their hands on pornography? Heh! Don't even think for a second that I would promote censorship. My life belongs to my country - and freedom of speach is one of the reasons.

However, every city, town, and community has some kind of law that says certain businesses cannot be within a specific distance of a school. So, where were these great minds when they thought up a new domain ending like .nu, .st, and so on? Why couldn't they create a .sex and require all adult sites to move to a .sex. Oh! I see - that might not be nice - right? Screw that. I do not care about being nice.

Go to http://www.excite.com and in the search window type"children". The results will display at least one (1) site where, when clicked on it, you will go to a web page that has a nude girl ( obviously not a child ). But, the description of "nude children" is part of the program being offered. If these folks had their site on a .sex rather than a .com, your software would have easily kept your children from viewing what this site is offering - without restrictions.
